2018 Turkey Shoot - Sat Oct 6th

Finally...Turkey Shoot Info! 
Below you will find the team rosters for this weekend, tournament rules, and the schedule. The tournament will be held at CPA High School Turf in Bedford. Players need to bring their Bluenose pinnie. 

Tournament Teams:

Tournament Rules:

• No protest shall be entertained.

• The coach and/or manager shall be responsible for the conduct of his/her team on and off the field (no swearing, no yelling at officials).

• Teams must be ready to play 10 minutes prior to scheduled game time. Any team that does not show for a game will lose by default by a score of 5-0.

• Games will start at their scheduled time with the sound of an air horn, and run for 25 minutes, straight time. When the horn sounds again, the game is over.

• After each goal, the defending team will clear from their goal crease.

• Points shall be awarded as follows:

A. Two (2) points for a win.

B. One (1) point for a tie.

C. Zero (0) points for a loss.

• Tie breaking procedures for team standings in the Round Robin play will be based on the following criteria (if necessary). If two teams or more are tied the following criteria will be used:

I) Winner of the game between them finishes highest

II) Lowest goals against

III) Highest goals for

• Tie breaking format for championship games will consist of:

a) 5 minute straight time

b) 5 minute straight time sudden victory

c) Shoot-out

• Players must wear mouth guards at all times.

• Stick check will only be done prior to each team’s first game (10 minutes before game time), and after every 3 goals.

Tournament Schedule:

Our day will start out with a 12 vs 12 showcase game. We encourage all to come and watch the game be played in it’s full field format. Bluenose games after Thanksgiving will be full field, so watching this game will be a good introduction!
